Free baggage policy

Each passenger can take up to 20 kg of checked baggage free of charge - this also applies to children. For safety reasons, we recommend that a single piece of luggage does not exceed 32 kg.

Excess baggage fees

If the free baggage allowance is exceeded, additional costs apply. Fees are calculated depending on the excess weight of the baggage.

Hand baggage

For safety and comfort, each person is allowed to take one piece of hand baggage on board. This must weigh a maximum of 6 kg (or 8 kg for laptops) and must not exceed dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. We recommend that you always carry valuables, medicines or sensitive items in hand baggage. Details of liability can be found in your booking confirmation.

Excess baggage rates

The permitted amount of baggage is stated on your flight ticket. Excess baggage will be treated as excess baggage and will be subject to a fee. The exact fee depends on the weight or number of additional pieces of luggage.

Luggage damage and loss

Missing luggage is in most cases found within 24 hours. If your luggage has not been found after 5 days, our Lost & Found team will initiate an intensive search. In the event of longer delays or questions, please contact our luggage center in Bern.
