Passenger safety regulations


Prohibited and dangerous items

For security reasons and in accordance with international regulations, it is prohibited to carry certain items in hand baggage or checked baggage. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Briefcases or suitcases with integrated alarm mechanisms
  • Explosives such as fireworks or flares
  • Gas containers such as pepper spray, defense sprays or camping gas cartridges
  • Containers with flammable liquids, e.g. B. lighter fluid, paints or solvents
  • Easily flammable materials, such as matches or flammable solids
  • Substances that release flammable gases when in contact with water
  • Oxidizing substances, such as bleach or hydrogen peroxide
  • Toxic or infectious substances such as mercury or biological samples
  • Radioactive materials or radiation-generating devices
  • Corrosive substances, such as acids, alkalis or certain batteries
  • Magnetic materials with strong field strength
  • Equipment or tools that have been in contact with petrol or other flammable liquids, even if there are minimal residual amounts
